Salisbury is home to Plantlife the charity dedicated to the conservation of wildflowers, plants and funghi. In Laverstock there are all sorts of beautiful and interesting species. Here are some of the ones which have been sent in so far. Can you add to the collection or help with identification? Email us at wildaboutlaverstock@gamail.com or post on the facebook page.

This is the county flower of the Isle of Wight, but as a lover of chalk downlands it is no surprise that Rosie found this on the Laverstock Downs.

If I'm right in identifying this as Cat's Ear this well dispersed species is also known Australian Cape Weed and California Dandelion! Photo by Rosie
These are the leaves from the cat's ear lant and are beautiful in their own way. They also explain where the plant gets it's name from!
